PE & Sports Funding
The government is providing additional funding to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding - provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport - will be allocated to primary school headteachers.
This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools.Whilst schools must spend the additional funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, they will have the freedom to choose how they do this. A requirement of this funding is that expenditure details must be made available and the impact of the spending evaluated. We publish an annual report for everyone to see what we have spent the funding on and the impact it has had on our pupils. Please click on the link below to view the latest report.
We are still awaiting confirmation of what funding will be made available for the 2016-17 academic year.
